DETAILS ON SOUNDTRACK TO SPRINGSTEEN’S THE PROMISE

On October 7th, HBO will premiere The Promise: The Darkness on the Edge of Town Story, a documentary that shows how Bruce Springsteen created his iconic album, Darkness on the Edge of Town. Now, Columbia Records plans to release the soundtrack to the film in various packages. Fans can get 21 never-before-heard songs from the Darkness recording sessions as a 2 CD or 4 LP 180-gram vinyl set called The Promise. With the premiere of the documentary film The Promise: The Darkness On The Edge Of Town Story, fans will get their first taste of what will appear on the forthcoming box-set reissue of Darkness on the Edge of Town. The six-disc set will include a remastered version of the album, a DVD of the documentary The Promise, two discs of previously unheard outtakes, and a full concert performance from 1978.
