LENNON’S TOILET SELLS FOR 15K
Posted: Aug 31, 2010
A toilet that once belonged to John Lennon sold at an auction in London this weekend for nearly 15-thousand dollars – about ten times it’s estimated worth. The porcelain lavatory came from the Beatle’s Berkshire, England home, where he lived from 1969 to 1971. When it was removed in 1970, the contractor kept it in his storage shed for 40 years. Reuters reports the name of the buyer is not known but the toilet is likely going “overseas.”
