At a recent Guitar Nation Live event in the U-K, axemen were polled on which famous guitarist they considered the best.  Eric Clapton came out on top, followed by Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Jeff Beck and Chuck Berry.  As for which axe the guitarists would most like to own, Clapton again topped the poll since his Blackie Stratocaster is the most coveted instrument, followed by Jimmy Page’s double neck Gibson, Stevie Ray Vaughan’s Number One Strat, Les Paul’s Les Paul and Brian May’s Red Special.  Read more at PlanetRock.com.
