TESLA GUITARIST APOLOGIZES TO SLASH

Posted: Nov 30, 2010

When Tesla appeared on Vh1 Classic’s That Metal Show a couple weeks ago, guitarist Frank Hannon accused Guns N’ Roses of ripping off an early Tesla track for their hit “Patience.”  Hannon said that the two groups were labelmates and Tesla did a demo song called “Better Off Without You” that “is ‘Patience’ note for note.”  Former GN’R guitarist Slash responded on Facebook saying Frank must be “smoking super crack” to claim that.  Hannon has since commented on Tesla’s official forum, apologizing and explaining he was “joking around” and doesn’t feel that Tesla wrote “Patience.” He went on to say that it is a “great song.”  Read more at TeslaTheBand.com
