HOW CREEDENCE CLEARWATER REVISITED CAME TO BE

Posted: Apr 27, 2011

Today, Creedence Clearwater Revival bassist Stu Cook turns 66 years old.  While the rocker made a name for himself in CCR, he continues to keep the band’s music alive as part of Creedence Clearwater Revisited, the group he formed with fellow Revival member Doug Clifford.  Stu filled us in on how the off-shoot came about.

“You know, we took a pretty long hiatus and Doug and I were sitting around in 1994, wondering what we were going to do with so much time on our hands – we were kind of living in the same small town up in the Sierra Nevada mountains.  And we said, ‘Hey, let’s drag out our catalog and see if we can’t kick some life into it.’”

Creedence Clearwater Revisited have dates lined up throughout the year.  Check out when they’ll be near you at Creedence-Revisited.com.
