Meet Vh1 Classic Rock Nights host Eddie Webb. Webb began his radio career at 15 in a small town in Iowa. He has worked for Skid Row, Guns N' Roses and most recently for Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne's Ozzfest where he ran the VIP program for the tour.

In 1973Watkins Glen Raceway in New York hosted the world’s biggest rock festival. 600-thousand people watched

In 1975Bob Dylan played his first session for the Desire album. On “Romance in Durango,” he was joined by Eric Clapton on dobro, while Emmylou Harris played steel guitar on “Abandoned Love.”

For the past few years, there have been rumors that a Kinks reunion might happen, but the relationship between singer Ray Davies and guitarist Dave Davies has been pretty strained.  Dave previously called his brother an “arsehole” but then hung out with Ray and seemed to warm to the idea of a reunion.  Ray filled us in on the latest.

THE WHO TO TOUR WITH QUADROPHENIA NEXT YEAR

This year, Roger Daltrey has been touring, performing The Who’s 1969 album Tommy in its entirety.  Now, Roger’s Who bandmate Pete Townshend is talking about that tour and revealed that he’ll be part of the next one.  The guitarist announced that next year, he and Roger will perform their 1973 rock opera Quadrophenia live. DAN PEEK, FOUNDING MEMBER OF AMERICA DIES

ALLMAN RAISING AWARENESS ABOUT HEPATITIS C

A year ago, Gregg Allman underwent a liver transplant after his own liver was damaged due to his Hepatitis C.  Now, the rocker is starting a campaign to help raise awareness about the disease and to kick it off, he and The Allman Brothers Band will perform a benefit concert in New York tonight (7/27), the eve of World Hepatitis Day.  Gregg told us about what happened when he first found out he had the disease and what we can do to prevent it.
