Guns N’ Roses have been nominated for induction in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.  Guitarist Gilby Clarke spoke of the recognition to The Plain Dealer, saying, “It’s a great honor.  The band deserves it.  It was a long time coming.”  News of the nomination might be a surprise to former drummer Matt Sorum.  He predicted to us that an induction into the Rock Hall would come right after the band’s original line-up announced a reunion tour, or it could lead to one.

“I mean, I suppose it will probably be announced that they will get that as soon as they decide that they’re going to tour again.  Or that could be the catalyst for it.” 

We’ll find out in January if Guns N’ Roses will be inducted.  They’re up against the likes of Heart, Joan Jett, The Faces, The Cure, Red Hot Chili Peppers and others.  Learn more at RockHall.com.
