BRET MICHAELS GROWS OLDER, HIS FANS GROW YOUNGER

Today (3/15) is Bret Michaels’ 49th birthday. The Poison singer has been making music since 1983, but don’t think that his fans are all as old as he is. He told us that he sees a very diverse audience when he looks out from the stage.
“Our shows right now have some of, this is what’s great, new fans and new fans and young fans and what they’re looking for, and I talk in the rock vein of music, they know that the one thing about Poison through thick and thin is that it is real. The show is real, it’s exciting, it’s different every night. You know, we don’t go in there and go through the same words every night. You know, we’re in a new city and it’s a roll of the dice of what may happen.”

The Revolver Golden Gods Awards take place next month in L-A and more details about them have come out. Rush will be honored with the Ronnie James Dio Lifetime Achievement Award and Pantera will premiere their first new music video in 12 years for their previously unreleased song, “Piss.” If that weren’t enough, there will also be live performances from Dee Snider, Slash, Sixx: A.M., Yngwie Malmsteen and Trivium. DUFF TALKS ABOUT WHAT HE WANTS FROM THE ROCK HALL INDUCTION

This week, former Guns N’ Roses bassist Duff McKagan said he didn’t expect the original line-up of the group to reunite on stage next month when they are inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. We caught up with the rocker to have him simplify his thoughts on the situation for us and here’s what he said.

“You know, I just, I really look forward to… it’d be great if everybody showed up and if not, that’s the way it’s supposed to be. So that’s it. It’s that simple for me.”

Van Halen are currently on the road again with David Lee Roth and apparently, it’s all thanks to Wolfgang Van Halen, son of guitarist Eddie Van Halen and his ex-wife, actress Valerie Bertinelli. According to Blabbermouth.net, the Hot in Cleveland actress explained that she really liked former bassist Michael Anthony, saying, “I thought he was a really nice guy, still do,” but added, “But the only way this tour is happening is because Eddie gets to play with his son Wolfie.
